QSL card front

Aletheia Quest QSL Card!

If you are familiar with ham radio (amateur radio) or shortwave radio, then you’re probably aware of QSL cards. Short version is that they are confirmation from a broadcaster that you received (heard) them.

Since Aletheia Quest with Alan Fahrner is, in part, a shortwave broadcast, I figured we should have a QSL card. What do you think?:

If you would like one, what I’d prefer is you send me actual physical mail to:

Alan Fahrner
1976 Basil ST
Strasburg, CO 80136

With the following info:

  • Your name
  • Your mailing address
  • Date and time you heard it (preferably in Universal Coordinated Time, but as long as you tell me what time zone it was, I can try to figure it out)
  • Where you heard it
    • If on shortwave, the frequency
    • If via podcast, the podcast service (e.g. Spotify, YouTube)
    • If another way, please describe how
  • Something simple about what you heard to prove you aren’t making it up 🙂 (e.g. “You were discussing the straw man bias”)
  • Where you were when you heard it
  • Anything else you would like to share (e.g. What did you think about the program? If on shortwave, how good was the signal? What would you like to hear discussed? What’s a funny joke?)

And then I’ll send you a filled-in and signed Aletheia Quest QSL Card back!

Okay, I mentioned I’d prefer physical mail.  However, if you cannot afford to do that or it isn’t a viable option otherwise for you…please send the info via one of the other options in “Contact Alan,” with a note saying that sending physical mail does not work well for you.

Final note: I reserve the right not to send a card if it is super-expensive to mail it, I run out of cards, a meteorite demolishes my house, or any other random reason. 🙂 That is, there may be cases where I don’t send one…

But I almost definitely will as long as this page still says I will.

Thanks for listening!
